The main goal of this model’s modernization is to enhance the aircraft’s combat capabilities, thereby increasing its competitiveness in the international market. Under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the development of the necessary design documentation for the production of Yak-130M prototypes has been completed.
The new version of the aircraft is equipped with advanced systems that significantly enhance its operational capabilities: the BRLS-130R airborne radar station, the SOLT-130K optical laser thermal imaging system, the President-S130 airborne defense system, and the KSS-130 communications complex.
These new systems and weapons will allow the Yak-130M to be used for both training purposes and combat operations, 24 hours a day, in any adverse weather conditions.
Compared to the traditional Yak-130, the Yak-130M will also include air-to-air missiles and precision air-to-ground weapons with satellite and laser guidance systems, transforming the aircraft into a complete light fighter.
